Ligistrum jonandrum or delavayanum tree

Ligistrum jonandrum or delavayanum with several bulbs. Privet variety that is often offered grafted on stem, and is well suited for topiary. Can grow up to 2m high, but with regular pruning it can be cut to any desired size. You often see them cut into a spherical shape on a stem, but it can also stand solitary in a border or be planted as a container plant. Compact, dense growth and is a slow-growing shrub. Attracts bees and butterflies but also birds, which are attracted to the berries as well as the insects.
